Brand Narrative

Our discovery, explorations, and executions
As Motive (formerly KeepTruckin) continues to grow, defining a brand narrative that celebrated not just the company but the products we offer became essential. To help support this, we built a modular design system, one that allows our team to be able to build for both design and in production without compromising creativity.

By utilizing variables and tokens, we kept our components and atoms consistent accross the board, and also partnered closely with our dev team to account for breakpoints, which streamlined handoff from web to dev.

Here is a birdseye view of all of the modules we have built below.

Here are also some samples of the variations we have per module to help ensure most possible use case scenarios built with flexibility and variety. Some of these variations can be based with different modes (light vs dark),  breakpoints (Desktop, tablet, mobile), and more.

Web audit
After our initial process of defining our design systems, this allowed us to refresh our main home/product/feature pages, to help bring consistency across our site. Here are some of the samples below with old vs. new.

Internal Tool

Translation
Management Tool
With Motive’s expansion to different areas of the world, one of our largest pain points was our lack of a translation system across all points with web, campaigns, assets, and print material.

Initially our process was:
[EN] Webpage Content brief → locale PMM translates.

What we want to solve:
  1. Since our local PMMs are not just “translators”, this added a lot of time to their bandwidth where they were unable to prioritize marketing their products in their respective fields. The goal is to update the process from translation to review instead.
  2. Have an ongoing library where all translations are logged with Motive team’s approval for language message + tone consistency.
  3. Allow all cross teams to efficiently be able to submit tickets for translations that is managed through our internal translation tool.

As a solution, we partnered with our locale PMMs (MX, UK, CA) and our dev team to build our TMS (Translation Management System), where we used AI to help translate any material including webpages. Here are some of the screens below.

Motion w/Figma

Motion assets created with Figma Motion/agent
With ConFig’s latest update where they introduced Motion <beta>. Here are a few samples of how our web team has taken over animating assets, which allowed our motion designers to focus on high priority and more complex motion designs such as reels and demos. Even as non traditional motion designers, by utilizing the Figma AI agent, this allowed us to still be able to create and templatize some of these assets which in turn streamlined our processes and made us more efficient as a team.
